Thanks for this! Lots of nodding as I read.

The educational part of writing is the lightbulb that lit up for me over the last two years. I’m now more comfortable rewriting or cutting a chapter, because I know I learned something from it.

I have been writing for a long time , but I frequently say I am a closet writer . I do share with a very few close friends and family members . Most people don't know that I am a writer . My sister is always saying publish your stories . I guess the reason I don't publish is because I really love what I write !! The characters , the settings , the birth of each one feels extremely comfortable with me . I have recently decided that I will share some of my short stories or novellas . I decided this because I know I love my stories !! So , it doesn't matter if everyone else loves them like I love them . Now I do have some stories and characters that I can't share right now because they are to emotionally delicate , and my feelings would be hurt or my pride whatever you want to call it . Maggie you inspire me and I appreciate you and how candid you are with your fans , fellow writers , and people like me who are both !!

I clocked the Hozier song on your list last night, but Blind Pilot too? Worlds colliding.

I work in non-writing project management, but I work with a lot of people trying to get personal passion projects off the ground, and this is such a good way of framing things. I use some of the concepts from your seminar with clients all the time, but this way of breaking down tasks and their benefits will be really helpful, too!

This is really helpful insight for clarifying goals + expectations. I feel like a lot of choices are made because of "shoulds" and advice from other people (well meaning) but doesn't always match personal goals and time/stage of life and project.
